First of all, big thanks to Andium Homes for giving the ‘Jersey Graffiti Wall’ a fresh coat.

The IKM crew were asked by Andium Homes to paint a new full wall mural in anticipation of the Bridge Youth Centre Open Day. Myself, KUMO, OREZ and Kid Midnight spent the weekend before the event painting a sci-fi themed mural using only black, white, grey and red.

The Kid Midnight is ‘The Boy from Outer Space. 1950’s inspired graphic design x street art piece.

I have been wanting to implement a car into my paintings for some time, and thought this would be the perfect opportunity. I decided on the classic Delorean from Back to the Future.

Throughout the weekend I documented my progress.

img_8132.jpgA total of around 20 hours was spent on the car, using only spray paint and a limited colour palette.

During the Bridge Open Day we were also asked to keep a section of the wall free for Street Art and Graffiti Workshops.

The children (and adults!) were let loose on the wall using the specialist water based, non toxic spray paint. We even had an 18 month old write his first graffiti tag #archie
